Ouch-new teeth are no fun! =(

Hampton will be 6 months old next Thursday and he has his first official tooth with another one not too far behind! He is trying his best to crawl but hasn't quite been able to make his arms and legs move at the same time! ha. I love this age because there is something new happening all the time and he is just a joy to watch! A young Mom that I knew from highschool (she was a good bit older than me) passed away this week and it made me stop and think how blessed I truly am!!! It's so easy for me to get caught up in the little things that can make the day bad- Hampton didn't sleep well, my laundry isn't done, I desperately need a shower... but the truth is the Lord has blessed my family so much! Brandon, Hampton and I are healthy and happy, we have a roof over our heads, we have great family (parents, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends) and we are able to pay the bills! It really puts things in perspective!!! Anyways, here are some new pictures of our little man! =)

A litte bit behind...

So my computer was messed up so I haven't been able to update this lately, but alot has changed with our little man! Hampton is almost 5 months old and he is 16 lbs. and 27". He rolls over like crazy now and he has started eating some baby food- fun stuff. =) What else can I say- we are pretty crazy about our little bumble! Oh and we are starting him out right in all his Gamecock stuff from his Uncle Dusty! =)

A little more love...

Family

I was just looking through some pictures and i realized how lucky my little Hampton is- he is a very loved little boy!!! I'm glad he has such a wonderful family! Hampton loves all of his family, but he lights up when he sees his Aunt Leah...he must know how much she adores him. They have a special little bond I think which is really special considering Leah has been there with me through it all. =)

Hampton's Nursery

I love the way Hampton's nursery turned out...it's just how I wanted it to be!

A Look Back

I was looking through some old pictures on my computer and found some of when Hampton was born...I honestly can't believe it has been over three months now. Time has gone by so fast, but at the same time it's hard for me to remember what our life was like without our little Hampton here. He brings so much joy to our lives! Everyday is something new and exciting. I love love love being him mommy!!! I also came across a picture of me VERY pregnant- i don't miss that very much. ha

Litchfield Pictures

Making Memories

Last week we took Hampton to see the ocean for the first time! We went to Pawley's Island where the ocean meets the Inlet so the waves wouldn't be as rough. He didn't know what to think at first but after a few minutes he was having fun! We got some cute pictures of him in his little bathingsuit- ha! We also got some pictures in Litchfield in front of a gorgeous oak tree. We had a great time visiting with Lolli and Poppy! =)

So far behind....

Well I started this blog thinking it would be a good way to keep family and friends updated on this crazy thing we call our life, but I didn't do too well! I'm going to give this blog thing one more try! So here's a quick update of everything that has gone on since our little bundle of joy arrived. Hampton Wade officially joined our family on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 @ 5:55 PM. He weighed 7lbs.4oz. and was 20.5". He looked just like the 4D ultrasound. He was perfect!!! =) Those first couple of weeks were such a blur- family/friends coming and going and not much sleep AT ALL!!! Yet, somehow through all the exhaustion I was the happiest I have ever been...this little person I had longed for and prayed for was finally here and I loved every thing about him- I could do without the sleep if it meant having him here! So those first couple of weeks flew by. We went to the beach for Mother's day and then we went to New York for a week in June and then back to the beach in July! He is a traveling machine- HA! He is such a good baby, if i can brag for just a minute, he sleeps through the night and doesn't fuss too often! He loves to smile and makes all sorts of noises. He is now about 14 pounds- he loves to eat! In conclusion, HAMPTON'S HERE and Brandon and I are head over heels in love with this child!!!!

So this is what they call "nesting."

Tomorrow will be the 7 month mark (28 weeks) and in this last week it seems that I have entered a "panic mode." I all of a sudden feel the need for everything to be perfect for the baby's nursery. Which is crazy considering we are still waiting on the crib and dresser to get here. I still haven't picked out any crib bedding or a glider for the nursery...ahhh. I didn't know it would be so complicated. Oh Well! Tomorrow we got to get the 4D ultrasound done and I am so excited! I can't wait to get an idea of what this little guy looks like!!! =)
